The Kishwaukee Motto
"A Place to Belong, A Place to Become."
From the beginning of time, man has had an innate desire to belong. God created man with a social need to belong and a spiritual need to belong to Him.
Kishwaukee Baptist Church aggressively presents the Gospel so that lost sinners might believe and belong to Christ and also provide loving, caring fellowship, giving believers a place to belong.
God has given unique natural talents and one or more spiritual gifts to each believer. As we discover and use theses gifts, Kishwaukee Baptist Church helps us become the special person that God intends for us to be.
The Kishwaukee Logo
Symbolized by the cedar of Lebanon, Kishwaukee Baptist Church is "A Place to Belong, A Place to Become."
The great cedar of Lebanon, often reaching 120 feet in height and 40 feet in girth, symbolizes the growth God wants to see in us. The reddish bark symbolizes the substitution of Christ in atonement for our sins.
After salvation God intends every believer to become a mature saint. The enormity and durability of the cedar, makes it a unique symbold of the steadfast and mature person that God wants each of us to become.
The green trees shown on our bulletin not only represent the invididual belonging to the body, but our becoming what God wants us to be spiritually.
